Delete Your Account

This page explains how to delete your AmaJodi account and what happens to your data. Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone.

Delete your account in the app

1. Open the AmaJodi app and sign in.
2. Go to the Profile tab (or Settings) and tap Delete account.
3. Tap to send the confirmation code. We send a one-time password (OTP) by SMS to the mobile number registered on the account.
4. Enter the OTP, optionally tell us why you are leaving, and confirm.

Your account is deleted immediately and you are signed out. You can register again later with the same number, but you will start with an empty profile.

Can't open the app?

If you uninstalled the app, lost access to your phone, or cannot sign in, email us at info@avyansoft.com with the subject "Delete my account". Write from the email address on your profile if you gave one, and include your registered mobile number and your name as on the profile. We may ask you to verify that the account is yours before we delete it. We will confirm once it is done.

What is deleted

When your account is deleted, we permanently remove from our active systems:

• your profile and everything on it: personal, career, family, lifestyle, horoscope and partner-preference details;
• your photos, videos and verification files (video selfie and identity document);
• your chats and chat access, including your data in our chat service;
• interests sent and received, shortlisted and ignored profiles, blocks, profile views, and notifications about you;
• your contact and chat unlocks, biodata downloads and astrology requests;
• your plans, credits, boosts, orders and payment records held by us;
• your referral links and rewards, and your device and sign-in details (login sessions, notification tokens and OTP records).

What happens to other people's data

• You disappear from other members' lists, matches, interests and chats.
• If you paid a match maker (mediator) to unlock a contact, the money they have earned stays with them; it is their income, not your data.
• If you referred someone, they keep their account. Only the link to you is removed.

What we keep

• A small deletion record: your internal account number, the date, who requested the deletion and the reason if you gave one. It holds no name, phone number or photo.
• Copies in our routine backups, which are overwritten in the normal course within a reasonable period. They are not used for anything else in the meantime.
• Records that our payment provider or your bank keep under their own legal obligations. We do not control those.
• Information we are required to keep by law, or need to handle a legal claim or a safety or fraud issue.

Before you delete

• Active plans, credits and purchase history are lost and are not refunded because of deletion.
• If you only want a break, you can leave the account as it is, or contact us and we will help you hide it.
