Child Safety Standards
How AmaJodi prevents, detects, and acts on child sexual abuse and exploitation.
AmaJodi is a matrimony service for adults. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form, on our app or our website. This page explains our standards, how we prevent abuse, how you can report it, and what we do when we find it.
Adults only
- AmaJodi is only for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to register, and the app does not accept a date of birth that makes a member younger than 18.
- Members give their date of birth when they register. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to use the service.
- If we learn that a minor has registered, or that a profile belongs to or shows a minor, we deactivate and delete the account.
Our standards
The following is never allowed on AmaJodi, and leads to immediate removal of the account:
- any sexual content involving a child, or any content that sexualises children;
- attempts to contact, groom, or exploit a child;
- profiles created for a minor, or photos of minors used to attract contact;
- sharing, requesting, or advertising child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
How we help prevent abuse
- Profile review. New profiles are reviewed by our team before they become visible to other members.
- Verification. Members can verify with a video selfie and an identity document, which our team checks.
- Contact is controlled. Phone numbers and chat are not open to everyone. Members unlock contact and chat with specific profiles.
- Blocking. Any member can block a profile from inside the app, which hides both profiles from each other. Profiles that are blocked repeatedly are flagged for our team to review.
- Admin action. Our team can deactivate or permanently delete any account that breaks these standards.
How to report a concern
- In the app: open the profile and use Block to stop all contact right away.
- Email our child safety contact at info@avyansoft.com with the subject "Child safety report". Include the profile ID shown on the profile (for example MT12345678) and what you saw. You can write in confidence.
- If a child is in immediate danger, contact the police first (dial 112 in India).
What we do when we receive a report
- We review the report and act on it as a priority. The profile is hidden or deactivated while we look into it.
- If we find CSAE or CSAM, we permanently remove the account and its content from our systems.
- We keep the information needed for an investigation as the law requires, and we report it to the relevant authorities. In India this includes the police and the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (cybercrime.gov.in), and, where it applies, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).
- We cooperate with law enforcement requests.
Legal compliance
We follow the laws that protect children, including the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006, along with Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy.
